Grow Love Not Hate. Plant share, drinks, snacks, and conversation. 29th April, from 10:30am. Seaview Park.
A huge THANK YOU to the very large numbers of people who supported the community action on 25th March celebrating the strength and kindness of Llantwit Major.
Here's up-to-date news of activity this Saturday, 29th April - all are welcome to a plant sharing event at Seaview Park at 10:30am, called "Grow Love Not Hate”.
Following the remarkable events of last month when extremists from a UK Neo-Nazi organisation visited the town, a Welsh online newspaper has reported that a small group of extremist agitators have suggested on a private chat forum that they might come to Llantwit again this Saturday, 29th April.
It is not known if this will actually happen, and the national anti-fascist charity Hope Not Hate have said that they don't think it is a nationally organised call. No-one is sure if anything will happen. The South Wales Police are quoted in the article as saying that they are aware of the situation. We are aware that the organisation Stand Up to Racism plan to have a presence in town that day.
Llantwit 24 - together in kindness has come together to affirm that Llantwit Major is a good place, with a caring community. Join in with this plant share event and come and have a tea or a coffee, and a chat. If you’ve got spare plants you would like to swap, bring them along. If you’ve not grown anything but you’d like to adopt someone’s spare plants, come along! If you just fancy a chat and a drink, we’d love to see you. There'll be welshcakes too!
Look forward to seeing you!
